Alumnae Relations

Alumni Relations AGD is very lucky to have a solid network of alumni to support our chapter. The photo above is from the 2006 Alpha Gamma Delta Convention in Palm Springs, CA where Sylvia Zukowski and Lindsay Brown ran into six Xi Chapter alumni. It was so much fun to be able to talk to these women who had all been initiated into the Xi Chapter at Illinois Wesleyan and lived in the same house! Many AGD alums still dedicate a lot of time to this chapter serving as advisors for our Executive Council or on House Association, which is resposible for the upkeep of our beautiful home. Every year we submit a wish list to House Association for things around that house that we would like to see for the next year. In the past we have gotten things such as wireless internet and had our kitchen remodled. There are many events throughout the year that allow our alumni to come back and visit us. After recruitment our house hosts "Alumni Meet the New Members," which gives the alumni a chance to meet all of our new girls! Also during the year we usually invite two AGD alums to come to "Alumni Career Night" where the women can talk about what they do for a living and give advice to us college students. The biggest alumni event of the year though, is IRD or Internation Reunion Day. This event is a luncheon usually held at the Holiday Inn where all undergrads and alumni from the area are invited. Xi Chapter's next project to further alumni relations is to start a newsletter which will be sent through e-mail to all of our alums which we are all very excited about!
