The single most important factor of Alpha Gamma Delta is keeping it alive by inducting new members each school year. Recruitment is a way to meet new girls from all walks of life on Illinois Wesleyan's campus. It is our favorite time of year because we get to meet all the incoming freshman and even some sophomores by welcoming them into our home and letting them see what it is that we, as Alpha Gamma Delta, are all about. Recruiment consists of five major events. Open House party, Tour party, Philanthropy party, Preference Night and finally Bid Day. Each event holds importance for every Alpha Gam. At Open House we meet all the Potential New Members and welcome them into our home. Tour Party is a chance for potential new members to see where all our proud Alpha Gams live and to see how historic and important our house is to us. Philanthropy party is near and dear to our hearts. We share with potential new members our love of philanthropic events and exactly what The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation is. Preference night is when we see who of the girls we have met is willing to pledge as an Alpha Gam and they get to see just how important Alpha Gamma Delta is to us. Bid day is one of the most exciting days of all! We meet our BRAND NEW BABY GAMS!! We welcome the new girls with open arms and throw a small celebration in their honor. It is one of the proudest days of any Alpha Gam's sisterhood.
